Hello, Mike Cempa, the wx. spotter training coordinator at the NWS office in Gray, ME is hoping to hold training sessions in many NH locations this season. The Gray office covers all of NH except for Cheshire and Hillsborough counties, although we are especially interested in establishing classes in the Lebanon area, as well as the Gorham/Berlin area and the northern Coos region as well. ARES members in contact with other amateurs in these areas ( as well as the general public) are encouraged to contact Mike, or any of us in the gyx/skywarn group so that spotter training in these critical areas can be scheduled. Anyone able to help us can find contacts to the NWS and Skywarn coordinators at the Skywarn group page here: http://www.wx1gyx.org/ Spotter reports from these areas tend to be lacking, especially during summer severe events and your help will fill a gap in the number of "ground truth" reports from these critical areas.
